The Kremlin does not comment on the situation on the left bank of the Dnieper and reports of an alleged regrouping of troops; this is the prerogative of the Ministry of Defense. This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
“You know that we do not comment on the progress and state of affairs directly on the battlefield during a special military operation. This is still the prerogative of specialists, professionals, that is, our military. And in this case, we also believe that only our military can and should comment on the situation,” he said.
On November 13, TASS and RIA Novosti, citing the Ministry of Defense, reported that the command of the Dnepr group of troops allegedly decided to transfer troops to more advantageous positions east of the Dnieper. It was also claimed that part of the Dnieper forces would be used for an offensive in other directions. About half an hour later, the agencies canceled the reports.
Later in the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported Vedomosti reports that the report about the alleged regrouping of Dnepr troops to positions east of the Dnieper is a fake and a provocation. The TASS website says that the news was released in error. The agency apologized to readers.
