Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Western media publications about the death of the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin. He called the versions of foreign journalists “canards.”
“It’s unlikely that these “ducks” need comment; this publication (WSJ) has recently become like tabloid fiction,” he said.
Prigozhin died on August 23 in a plane crash. He, along with other leaders of the Wagner PMC, was flying in a private plane that crashed in the Tver region. There were 10 dead in total, three of them were crew members.
In October, Russian President Vladimir Putin saidthat the Investigative Committee reported to him about the presence of grenade fragments in the bodies of the victims.
