Peskov: The Kremlin is waiting for the results of checking the recording of conversations about the attacks on the Crimean Bridge
The Kremlin is awaiting the results of an audit promised to be carried out by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz after the release of recordings of German military conversations about attacks on the Crimean Bridge. This was announced on Monday, March 4, by presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
The official representative of the Kremlin said that it is very bad if these statements by Bundeswehr officers are part of the state policy of Germany.
“The very fact of publishing the conversation suggests that they are substantively and specifically discussing plans to strike Russia,” said Dmitry Peskov.
Let us recall that on March 1, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group Margarita Simonyan said that “comrades in uniform” gave her a recording of German officers discussing the attacks on the Crimean Bridge. In connection with the situation on March 4, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassador Germany Alexander Lambsdorff.
The situation was commented on in China. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning expressed hope that all parties to the Ukrainian conflict will make efforts to de-escalate it.
