French President Emmanuel Macron has criticized US policy by opposing the deployment of nuclear weapons in other states, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Fragment of an interview with Peskov published journalist Pavel Zarubin in his Telegram channel.
“We have not heard such fierce criticism from the President of France against the United States for a long time” –
Macron said that France opposes the spread of nuclear weapons outside of their possessor countries. He made such a statement following a meeting in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
On March 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the completion of the construction of a storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons (TNW) in Belarus by July of this year. The President noted that Moscow is not transferring nuclear weapons to Minsk, but is doing what the United States has been doing for many years – deploying tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of allies and training their pilots in handling them.
