Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed understanding of the foreign policy situation in which Serbia finds itself, and said that Moscow, nevertheless, expects that the previous character and tone of the dialogue with Belgrade will be maintained. Earlier, the Serbian Minister of Economy, Rade Basta, announced the desirability of introducing sanctions against Russia by Belgrade.
“We highly appreciate the position that Serbia has taken so far, we understand that conditions are changing, but we expect that we will resolve the most pressing issues within the framework of our partnership confidential dialogue with Serbian friends,” Peskov said.
The official representative of the Kremlin also stressed that St. Moscow understands that the pressure exerted on Belgrade, among other things, is contrary to international law.
