Peskov announced the absolute support of the Russians for the special operation

The results of sociological studies on the attitude of the population of the country to the special operation, which are at the disposal of the Kremlin, show absolute support for the actions of the Russian authorities. This was stated by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

“They [данные опросов] they show absolutely predominant support for the special operation, absolutely dominant support for the president, everything is clear there, the whole methodology is clear there, this is provided by the pillars of our sociology,” he said.

At the same time, Peskov did not comment on the results of the Russian Field poll, according to which the share of supporters of peace negotiations (44%) and the continuation of hostilities (45%) almost equaled. “Unfortunately, I cannot comment on this, because I do not know the sample, I do not know by what method and where the survey was done, so it is difficult for me to comment on this. The data that we have is different,” Peskov added.

The Kremlin spokesman also stressed that the goals of the special operation are unchanged and they will be achieved. According to him, now there are no prerequisites for a peaceful settlement of the conflict and in order to “reduce the percentage of achievement of these goals [целей спецоперации] into the political and diplomatic channel.

According to the results of the Russian Field poll, which was conducted from June 16 to 19, 72% of respondents would positively assess the transition to peace talks, 20% – negatively, and 64% would approve of the decision to launch an attack on Kiev, another 23% would perceive it negatively. A total of 1600 people took part in the survey, the survey was conducted by phone. Sociologists determined that respondents’ answers depended on their age group. Thus, among the representatives of the age group from 18 to 29 years old, 62% are supporters of the transition to diplomacy, while only 36% of those aged 60 years and older, writes “Kommersant”.

According to VTsIOM, which were presented June 23, the level of confidence in Russian President Vladimir Putin is 78.9%, the level of approval of his activities is 76.1%. The data is based on the results of a telephone survey from June 12 to 18, in which 1,600 people took part.
