The topics of China’s peace plan for Ukraine will inevitably be touched upon during the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. Putin will give exhaustive explanations on the situation in Ukraine.
“One way or another, the topics that were touched upon in this regard, of course, will inevitably be touched upon during the exchange of views on Ukraine. Of course, Ukraine will appear on the agenda. Therefore, of course, we can safely assume that they will be touched upon in one way or another, but here, of course, President Putin will give exhaustive explanations so that President Xi can, as they say, get a vision of the current moment from the Russian side firsthand,” said Peskov (quoted by RIA Novosti)
On February 24, China presented its proposals to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
Kremlin announced Xi Jinping’s visit to Russia on March 20-22 last week. Then the press service of the Kremlin reported that the negotiations will touch upon the issues of further development of relations of “comprehensive” partnership and strategic cooperation between Russia and China. Within the framework of this meeting, the leaders of the two states will also discuss the deepening of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the international arena. At the same time, as noted in the Kremlin, a number of important bilateral documents will be signed.
