The Kremlin will announce a big press conference by President Vladimir Putin when it decides on the timing of it, said his press secretary Dmitry Peskov. He did not rule out that the conference would be combined with a direct line.
“We will inform everyone. When we decide on the timing, we’ll let you know everything,” said a Kremlin representative during a press call in response to a question about holding a presidential press conference this year.
To a clarifying question whether this format could be combined with a direct line, Mr. Peskov replied: “Anything can happen.” “One way or another, these formats in different guises live and will live, because they are in demand by people,” the press secretary added.
The last time a direct line with Vladimir Putin was held was on June 30, 2021. Then the event lasted 3 hours and 42 minutes. They decided not to hold it in 2022.
