The recognition by Washington of the rights of Ukraine to conduct military operations in the republic was appreciated by Georgy Muradov, permanent representative of the Crimea under the President of Russia.
According to him, such judgments are a declaration of war, “which the United States instructs to wage with foreign bloody Nazi hands.”
RIA Novosti quotes Muradov: “I believe that without a direct reminder to Washington of our club of nuclear deterrence, which is raised above the stupid head of Washington’s madmen, things will not work.”
According to him, the encroachment on the Crimea for the inhabitants of the peninsula is tantamount to a call to bomb Washington.
Earlier, John Kirby, coordinator of strategic communications at the US National Security Council, said that Washington recognizes Kyiv’s right to military operations in Crimea, since the US considers the peninsula to be Ukrainian territory.
State Duma deputy from Crimea Mikhail Sheremet called Kirby’s statements “cynical” and “hostile”. The parliamentarian stressed that the Russian Federation will not allow claims on its territory, so this point of view will “strongly backfire” on the United States – Moscow will stop all attempts at provocations against Crimea.
In March 2014, a referendum was held in Crimea, as a result of which the peninsula became a region of the Russian Federation.
