Yabloko reported that citizens actively support the nomination of Grigory Yavlinsky for president of Russia. Meanwhile, in order to make an appropriate decision, it is necessary to collect 10 million signatures. The basis of Yavlinsky’s program is to achieve a cessation of hostilities in Ukraine. Kommersant FM political commentator Dmitry Drize believes that Yabloko’s task is to stir up interest in the presidential elections.
Grigory Yavlinsky announced that he is ready to go to the presidential elections in Russia in 2024. However, like any real leader, the people – the voters – must ask him about this. Thus, if the party collects at least 10 million signatures by mid-December, then Grigory Alekseevich will take part in the presidential race.
And now, almost in one day, 1 million was raised. And although there is very little time left until mid-December, there is some reason to believe that support for the Yabloko leader is guaranteed. Moreover, he had previously received an audience with Vladimir Putin and had a long conversation with the president. It can be assumed that he received the go-ahead for his further activity.
As a result, the main thesis of this potential candidate’s election program is the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine. By supporting Yavlinsky, you seem to be in favor of this. The party notes that everything is clear and without signatures. The absolute majority of the country is for peace.
Yes, we can safely agree with this. The only question is under what conditions. Here Yavlinsky says so directly, apparently addressing the Ukrainians: why do you need all these territories? Human life is more important. Apparently, it is believed that if the corresponding initiative comes from a Western liberal, it will be easier for the authorities in Kyiv to agree to a cessation of hostilities.
Perhaps there is some logic to this. But then a certain difficulty arises: if Grigory Alekseevich gains 1-2% in the elections, which is very likely, then, it turns out, the Russian people do not really support his ideas very much. So what about 10 million signatures?
The fact of the matter is that this figure is clearly more than 1.5%, so we see a slightly different scenario here. Grigory Alekseevich collects the number of signatures he needs, does not go to the polls, but instead receives a certain status as a negotiator. With the right, say, to go to the West to convince former partners to come to their senses and make a constructive decision. That is, in essence, he has a position in the Russian power vertical.
Moreover, it is logical to reach an agreement before the elections in order to ensure their relatively calm conduct if, of course, a result is achieved. There are good reasons to believe that it will not be achieved, but then you can always say: we gave you a chance, so we invited Yavlinsky, but you didn’t appreciate it, so we continue.
However, these are all versions. The main thing is that there is a certain intrigue swirling around Yabloko and Yavlinsky. Its goal is to encourage voters to participate in elections and this process should in no case be ignored. And then there are various enemy hirelings who slander, saying that the result is known in advance. They need to say our decisive “no”. In Russia there is a choice. And confirmation of this is the active position of the oldest democratic liberal party in the country. Moreover, she says absolutely the right things.
