People’s Artist Vitaly Konyaev died at the age of 86. As the Maly Theater reported, the actor’s death occurred on September 30.
The time and place of farewell will be announced separately.
Vitaly Konyaev graduated from the Shchepkin Higher Theater School and immediately entered the service at the State Academic Maly Theater, where he worked all his life. Over the years of work in cinema, he starred in four dozen films, the most famous role being the image of the commander of an artillery battery in the film “Silence” by Vladimir Basov.
In 1974, Vitaly Konyaev was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR, and in 1998 – People’s Artist of the Russian Federation. In 2006, the actor was awarded the Order of Friendship.
The artist’s first wife was People’s Artist Nina Drobysheva; daughter Elena Drobysheva followed in her parents’ footsteps.
