Forces of the US-led international anti-terrorist coalition were attacked at a US-controlled base in the south of the Syrian province of Hasakah. This was specified in the press service of the Central Command (CENTCOM) of the US Armed Forces.
They specified that at 00.31 (Moscow time) two rockets were fired at the patrol base in Ash Shaddadi. “As a result of the attack, no one was injured, the base or property of the coalition was not damaged. The Syrian Democratic Forces conducted an inspection of the site of the impact of the rockets and found a third unexploded rocket,” the press release emphasizes. CENTCOM spokesman Joe Buccio also reacted to the incident and said that attacks of this nature endanger coalition forces and civilians and undermine hard-won stability and security in Syria and the region.
This is not the first attack on American facilities in Syria. On November 17, rockets were fired at a US military base near the Omar oil field in the province of Deir ez-Zor. After several explosions, a fire broke out in the territory.
