Pavel Krasnorutsky stepped down as head of Rosmolodezh amid charges of hooliganism on board a plane

Chairman of the Russian Youth Union Pavel Krasnorutsky announced the early resignation. He assured that the decision was his “personal position and initiative.” He has headed RSM since 2012.

“It’s really a long and interesting journey. The path traveled in a team of friends and like-minded people, but there comes a time when you need to move on. I made a decision on the early resignation of the powers of the chairman of the RSM at an extraordinary congress of the RSM,” wrote Mr. Krasnorutsky during “In contact with”.

On June 18, it became known that a protocol on petty hooliganism was drawn up against Pavel Krasnorutsky. According to law enforcement agencies, on board the Khanty-Mansiysk-Moscow plane, he “had spoken obscenely towards the flight attendants and refused to comply with their demands.” It was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol.

Pavel Krasnorutsky himself admitted that he had consumed alcohol on board, but denied information about the conflict. “Probably, it was wrong, we were talking loudly and, probably, interfered. And then we landed, the police met and drew up a report for an unlawful violation, ”explained Mr. Krasnorutsky.
