It is necessary to strengthen the fight against illegal migration in the North-West of Russia, as well as to suppress attempts to form ethnic enclaves. Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev stated this at a security meeting in the Northwestern Federal District.
He noted that illegal migration remains a breeding ground for committing crimes, including those of a terrorist and extremist nature. According to him, saboteurs can enter the territory of the district under the guise of migrant workers and internally displaced persons. In this regard, Patrushev set the task of strengthening efforts to combat illegal migration.
“Suppress attempts to form ethnic enclaves and illegal labor activities of foreign citizens, promptly identify among migrants persons prone to committing illegal actions,” noted Nikolai Patrushev.
Let us recall that during the meeting the Secretary of the Security Council noted that Ukrainian neo-Nazis have become more active in Russia In this regard, additional measures to improve civil defense to ensure the safety of citizens in the north-west of the country are especially relevant.
