Patrushev: Russia neutralized hundreds of intelligence officers from foreign intelligence services

In recent years, Russia has managed to neutralize hundreds of foreign intelligence officers involved in conducting reconnaissance and subversive work against the country. About it stated Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev in an article for the magazine “Razvedchik”.

“Having received a rebuff, the United States and its allies switched to tactics of destroying the security architecture that had developed over the years in the world. Ignoring the goals and principles of the UN Charter, they are trying to replace international law with an “order based on rules,” which they themselves determine,” Patrushev emphasized.

According to him, the West is turning promising managers and representatives of law enforcement agencies into conductors of “harmful ideas.” By acting against Russia, they damage the interests of their states, the Security Council Secretary added.

He also noted that Western countries consider Russia a constant threat, so they will use all available means against it. Patrushev believes that this attitude is caused by the dismantling of the colonial system, which began after the Second World War. In particular, this process was influenced by the achievements and victories of the Soviet Union, thanks to which “dozens of countries in the world gained independence,” the politician recalled.

Patrushev also stated that Western intelligence services created most of the largest terrorist groups, and they also sponsor them. In his opinion, modern terrorism is “a direct tool for promoting the influence of the Atlanticists.” The same thing happens with international crime, the Security Council secretary added. He recalled that England, France, Spain, Portugal and the United States “never hesitated to use the services of pirates and other bandits” to achieve their own economic and political goals, and “the loot one way or another ended up in the West.”
