Patrushev announced the unity of the Russians during the rebellion

Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the events of June 24, declaredthat the Russian people showed solidarity by standing united against the attempted armed rebellion. In his address to the citizens of Russia on June 26, Putin thanked military and security officials who “remained faithful to their duty, oath and their people” during the June 24 mutiny. The head of state also expressed gratitude to the citizens of the country. According to him, “it was the patriotic mood of the citizens, the consolidation of the entire Russian society that played a decisive role these days.”

On the night of June 24, an armed rebellion was attempted in Russia by Wagner PMC and its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin. In the evening, the Kremlin reported on the agreements reached with the founder of the PMC to de-escalate the situation, in which Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko played a key role.
