Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters on Sunday that Armenia is not changing the vector of its foreign policy, which is determined by the national interests of the republic.
In response to the statement of the American representative about a possible change in Armenia’s relations with Russia, Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia’s foreign policy is transparent and based on national interests.
Regarding the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Pashinyan noted that various options for the idea of a meeting are being discussed, including a proposal to hold a quadrilateral meeting with Turkey. However, he stressed that this was not the only proposal and did not want to highlight one particular idea without considering the entire context.
Earlier, at a hearing in the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate, acting. US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Yuri Kim said that it is “too early to judge whether Armenia is changing its relations with Russia, but Washington is seeking this.”
