Acting Head of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) Leonid Pasechnik informedthat signed a decree on the formation of the government of the region.
“The supreme executive body was created in full compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, it will take over the functions of the previously acting Government and head the system of executive bodies of the Lugansk People’s Republic,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The government is represented by the chairman, who has become the current prime minister Sergei Kozlov, his deputies and 18 ministers. Ensuring and controlling the activities of the government are entrusted to the administration of the head of the LPR, headed by Alexei Samoilov.
Pasechnik noted that the LPR as a result became the first of the new regions of the Russian Federation to form regional executive authorities.
“Ahead is the organization of municipalities, which will complete the integration into a single Russian administrative system,” he added.
Earlier in mid-April, Pasechnik for the first time held a direct line with citizens, wrote “Vedomosti”.
On September 30, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the annexation of the regions to Russia. Putin stressed that the inhabitants of the annexed territories “become citizens of the Russian Federation forever.”
