The city of Almaznaya in the Lugansk People’s Republic on the afternoon of May 28 was shelled by Ukraine, as a result, a man and a woman were killed, informed Acting head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik.
A resident of the city died as a result of a strike on the private sector, he said. Another person, an elderly man, died on the operating table. Eight people were also injured in the attack, they were taken to the Stakhanov Central City Hospital. According to Pasechnik, a 10-year-old boy is in serious condition with a head wound.
“The hits were recorded in residential buildings, power lines, gas pipelines. The specialized services are working on the spot, eliminating the consequences of the shelling,” Pasechnik also wrote in his Telegram channel.
On May 15, seven people were injured in an explosion in the center of Lugansk. Injuries received including Acting Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR Igor Kornet. TASS wrote that an attempt was made on the official. On that day, the LPR reported the use of two Storm Shadow missiles by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian troops launched a missile attack on the city at 8:00 Moscow time.
