The work of the mobile Internet on the territory of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) will be temporarily suspended due to the intensified shelling of Lugansk, said Acting Head of the Republic Leonid Pasechnik. Over the past 24 hours, the city has been attacked twice by the Ukrainian army.
“Our job is to keep people safe. In connection with the intensified shelling of the Lugansk People’s Republic, a decision was made to temporarily suspend the operation of the mobile Internet on the territory of the republic. I ask the residents to be understanding.” wrote Pasechnik in his Telegram channel.
The head of the region clarified that on May 13, as a result of a morning strike on the village of Yubileiny, two civilians were injured, they were hospitalized in a hospital in a state of moderate severity. According to him, the military and artillery “are doing everything to secure settlements and suppress enemy firing points.”
The first shelling of Lugansk took place on the evening of May 12, Ukraine inflicted strike with Anglo-French-made Storm Shadow missiles. The Russian Defense Ministry later clarified that fighter aircraft shot down a Su-24 aircraft that launched a missile strike and a MiG-29 fighter that covered it. As a result of the shelling of the city, seven people were injured.
