The government will reduce the financial burden for participants in the military operation in Ukraine. They will be exempt from property tax, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said during presentations with a report about the work of the government in the State Duma.

“On the instructions of the president, we will reduce the financial burden for our defenders and exempt them from property taxes. It is important that those who perform military duty receive state assistance in full and in a timely manner. And we are closely monitoring this,” Mr. Mishustin assured.

He added that in 2023, the Russian military-industrial complex has significantly increased the production of various equipment and weapons so that the participants in the military operation have everything they need. “I would like to especially thank all the specialists who are actively involved in the production of everything necessary for our heroes, our army and navy,” the prime minister said.

During the announcement of the message to the Federal Assembly on February 29, Vladimir Putin statedthat participants in a military operation will be able to receive a mortgage at a preferential rate of 2%. The program will operate in a number of regions. That same month, the working group on military operations sent another report to the president. In particular, suggested preserve the rights of participants in the military operation to the “Far Eastern” and “Arctic” hectares, which are drawn up under agreements for free use.
