Parents reacted to the opportunity to pay for tutors with mother’s capital: “We will spend it earlier”

Young mothers believe they use the allowance before their child becomes a teenager

The government of the Russian Federation decided to expand the educational opportunities of children whose parents received maternity capital. It will now be possible to pay for educational services with “parental allowance” from individual entrepreneurs (IP).

As it became known to MK, the new rules will allow parents to pay maternity capital for education in a private kindergarten, study at a private school, and also for classes with a tutor. The main thing is that an individual entrepreneur has a license for educational activities.

To pay, you must submit an application to the pension fund and an agreement with the individual entrepreneur, which indicates the cost of the service provided.

To find out how useful the innovation could be, MK asked young mother Irina Kustova, who recently received a payment from the budget, about it.

– I think the amendment is not of particular importance, – says the woman. – With the birth of a baby, the family incurs very high costs, so as a rule, it is not necessary to hope that the capital will remain until the moment when the child reaches the age at which he needs a tutor. Perhaps the only exception is private kindergartens, but I think few people use their services. For example, we are going to send our daughter to an ordinary kindergarten, although it is still too early for us to think about this.

Recall that today Russian families can count on receiving maternity capital in which, since January 1, 2007, a second, third, fourth, and so on, a child was born or adopted, however, provided that the right to payment did not arise or was not issued before. Also, families in which, starting from January 1, 2020, were born, also have the right to maternity capital. For parents of first-born and second children this year, a payment in the amount of 524,527 rubles 90 kopecks has been assigned. Those who have a third and so on child are paid 693,144 rubles 10 kopecks. If during this period the first and then the second child is born in the family, then the maternity capital will additionally increase by 168,616 rubles 20 kopecks.
