Palestine’s Permanent Observer to the UN, Riyad Mansour, commented that the Israeli Army’s attack on Palestinian civilians awaiting humanitarian aid in Gaza was a deliberate act.
Let us recall that the incident occurred on February 29 on Al-Rashid Street in the west of Gaza City at a time when hundreds of starving Palestinians were there waiting for humanitarian aid. Its victims were 112 civilians.
“Suddenly the Israeli army started shooting at them… This was not shooting in the air. It was a targeted killing… Now 112 people have been killed, 750 injured and perhaps the number will rise,” Mansour said.
