Pakistani authorities have released more than 520 Afghan citizens from detention, the Afghan embassy in Islamabad said.
Nearly 100 children are among the prisoners released from prison.
The embassy said on Saturday that “as a result of the efforts of the embassy in Islamabad” and the country’s Consulate General in Karachi, “524 Afghans were released from prisons, including 54 women and 97 children.”
All expenses for food, clothing and transport for the released are paid by the embassy and consulate of Afghanistan, the report says.
