The Federal Tax Service proposed to allow heirs to dispose of the positive balance on the Single Tax Account (UNS). An interlocutor familiar with the initiative of the tax authorities told Vedomosti about this, the information was confirmed by a source close to the government. At the moment, the proposed amendments to the Tax Code (TC) are under consideration in the Ministry of Finance, said one of them. Vedomosti sent inquiries to representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Service.
The UNS is a new universal principle of settlements with the budget, launched on January 1 for businesses and citizens. It involves the payer crediting funds to a special account, and then the tax independently distributes the amount by type of tax. The UNS resembles the mechanism of payments for mobile communications: the payer can credit the amount in advance with a margin, the funds are debited as obligations arise. Payments can be refunded upon request. As a representative of the tax service told Vedomosti in June, companies and citizens returned 3.1 trillion rubles in less than six months. overpaid taxes.
