At the Moscow airports “Domodedovo”, “Sheremetyevo” and “Vnukovo” on September 1, 36 flights were delayed, nine more were canceled, follows from the data of the service “Yandex.Schedule”.

As of 8:00 am, 17 flights were delayed at Domodedovo, and six more were cancelled. 15 flights were delayed in Vnukovo, another one was cancelled. The press service of Vnukovo reported that on Friday morning the airport restricted flights, part of the flights were redirected to other air harbors, transmits “RIA News”. Sheremetyevo delayed four flights and canceled two more.

Flight delays came amid another attempt by Kyiv to attack Moscow with a drone. According to the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, the Ukrainian drone was shot down air defense systems near Lyubertsy.

On the morning of August 31, Russian air defense systems destroyed a drone flying in the direction of Moscow in the Voskresensky district.

On the night of August 30, seven regions of Russia were subjected to a mass attack by drones. In particular, one drone was destroyed in the Moscow region, Sobyanin said. The drone was shot down in the Ruza district. There were no casualties or damage. On August 28, a drone flying towards Moscow was destroyed in the Lyubertsy region. As a result, no one was hurt either.

Earlier, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian air defense systems are working effectively against drone attacks. He urged to remember that the activity on the Ukrainian side is aimed at residential buildings and facilities, so it is not always possible to “avoid some minor damage.”
