CRITICISM – The fantastic tale of Léa Mysius around a little girl with an extraordinary nose borders on the ridiculous.
Far be it from us to curb the imagination of filmmakers in the name of a creative police force. Whether Quentin Dupieux had thrown his drafts in the trash, we would have been deprived of absurd and jubilant comedies (the latest, Incredible but true). But, all the same, it is not necessarily harmful that certain scenarios remain at the bottom of a drawer. It is the thought that comes to us at the vision of Five Devils. Well-intentioned person in the entourage of Léa Mysius (noted in 2017 with Ava) to suggest to her that, perhaps, her story of a little girl endowed with a super sense of smell was not the idea of the century, or even of the year.
Journey to the past
If such had been the case, the spectator would have been deprived of a tartignole film, or rather tartiflette since it is located in a mountain town.
