Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has warned that Germany’s sending tanks to Ukraine brings the Germans closer to direct involvement in the conflict.
“At first the Germans sent soldiers’ helmets, saying they didn’t want to ship lethal weapons there,” Orban wrote on the government’s social media page.
He added that now it came to the tanks and already started talking about the planes.
“Step by step, the Germans are drifting towards war,” the Hungarian prime minister noted, adding that Hungary from the very beginning of the conflict refused to supply the Ukrainian army with weapons, as it stands for peace.
Earlier, Orban, during a conversation with representatives of the Hungarian media, called Ukraine “no man’s land” and compared it to Afghanistan.
