Orban addresses protesting farmers in Brussels

A meeting between Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and a group of protesting European farmers took place in Brussels.
During the conversation, Orban said that there is now a “democratic deficit” in the EU. The Hungarian Prime Minister sees a way out of this situation in a change of power in Brussels during the elections to the European Parliament.
Orbán stressed that Europe’s leaders are ignoring the voice of the people, which, in his opinion, is the main problem. He noted that regardless of the topics discussed, such as migration, war or the situation in Ukraine, the EU leadership does not hear the opinion of society.
