“Opora Rossii” asked to evaluate the words of Deputy Topilin addressed to beer producers

Opora Rossii asked the leader of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Vladimir Vasiliev, to evaluate the statements of Maxim Topilin, chairman of the lower house of parliament’s committee on economic policy. Vedomosti has a copy of the letter signed by member of the Presidium of Opora Rossii Alexei Nebolsin.
The reason was a post published on July 29 in the deputy’s Telegram channel. It states that Russians have become more likely to poison themselves with beer sold in “bottling shops” produced by “no-name brands, small companies, which account for 92% of the market.” Among the “small things” in the post are listed the companies of the head of the Union of Russian Brewers Daniil Briman (Sibir, Suzdal Pivovar and Craft-U-Brewery) and Nebolsin himself (the Yablochny Spas brand, whose products allegedly “explode on the shelves”, owns his son). Next year, because of the labeling, “every milliliter of beer will come under control,” and the business of “Russian beer artisans threatens to crumble en masse,” while the “krupnyaks” do not panic,” the publication says.
