The OPEC+ meeting, which was postponed from November 26 to November 30, may be postponed again due to disagreements over oil production quotas for African members of the organization. Sources report this Bloomberg.
According to the agency, the organization was unable to reach an agreement with Angola and Nigeria. They believe that this may reduce their production capabilities. The agency’s source called the current situation a deadlock and said that it would not be resolved until the OPEC+ meeting on November 30. “In this case, another postponement of the meeting will be required,” said an anonymous agency source.
The countries of the organization must develop an oil production plan for 2024. The agency notes that due to falling oil prices, it plans to reduce production in the coming year to avoid a fuel surplus.
