The relevant committee of the State Assembly of Bashkiria has prepared amendments to the federal legislation on the early termination of the powers of regional and municipal deputies for absence from two consecutive meetings without a valid reason. Now it is possible to deprive a deputy of his mandate for absenteeism from all meetings for six months, but the authors of the initiative believe that this provision creates risks of early dissolution of regional and local parliaments, since it is possible after three months of inaction. The State Duma says that they would like to listen to the opinions of other regions.
