One person died during the shelling of the village of Grafovka in the Belgorod region

As a result of the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Grafovka, Shebekinsky district, Belgorod region, a man was killed, informed Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

“To my great sorrow, one civilian died in Grafovka. The man was doing housework when a shell flew into the courtyard of a residential building, he died on the spot from his injuries, ”he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The mother of the deceased with a hypertensive crisis and his wife in a severe stressful condition were taken to medical facilities, the governor added.

During the shelling of Grafovka in ten private residential buildings, windows were broken, facades, fences and outbuildings were damaged. In total, Ukrainian shelling lasted more than an hour. In addition to Grafovka, Shebekino, Murom and Novaya Tavolzhanka suffered. Power lines were damaged in all settlements.

According to Gladkov, yesterday, May 28, the Shebekinsky urban district was shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine 116 times. Earlier today he declaredthat the best way to stop the shelling is to annex Kharkov to the Belgorod region.

In the Belgorod region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger is indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the average level of response has been set in the region. The same regime operates in seven other regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.

On May 22, after the shelling of the Kozinka border checkpoint, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered the territory of the Grayvoron district of the Belgorod region. As a result, 13 people were injured, another person died. Due to the penetration of saboteurs in the Belgorod region, a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced, which was canceled the next day. May 23 Ministry of Defense reportedthat a group of saboteurs was blocked and defeated. As a result, more than 70 Ukrainian servicemen, four combat armored vehicles and five pickup trucks were destroyed.
