One person died during the shelling of the Ukrainian military base in the Belgorod region

One person died, two are in serious condition in intensive care after the shelling of a temporary accommodation center (TAC) in the Belgorod region, informed Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel.

He specified that the deceased was a security guard of the institution where the TAP was located. “Two more people were injured. They are in critical condition in intensive care. One man with penetrating wounds of the abdominal cavity, the second with penetrating wounds of the chest. They were operated on, all the necessary medical care is being provided,” Gladkov said.

The governor said that the shells of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the residential and administrative buildings of the sanatorium and its entrance. The TAP housed residents of Sereda, Shebekinsky district, who were resettled, according to the head of the region, “for more than a year.” They were taken to another locality.

Gladkov informed about the shelling from the Ukrainian side of the TAP with evacuated residents of the Belgorod region earlier in the day, he specified that there were dead and wounded. Also today, Gladkov announced the shelling of the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There were no casualties as a result of the attack.

On May 29, 155 arrivals from Ukraine were recorded in the Shebekinsky district. As a result of the shelling of Grafovka, a man died, his wife was taken to the hospital with a closed craniocerebral injury, and her mother with a hypertensive crisis, Gladkov specified.

In the Belgorod region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger is indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the average level of response has been set in the region. The same regime operates in seven other regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.
