The premiere of the film “Master of the Altai Mountains” took place in the capital’s Oktyabr cinema. A 52-minute documentary film created by the Interregional Association “Center for the Study and Conservation of the Snow Leopard “Irbis” tells the story of the fate of a snow leopard cub named Tural, who was born in the Sailyugemsky National Park in the Altai Republic. The viewer is treated to exciting adventures of the Red Book snow leopard (there are no more than 75 individuals in Russia), for the first time filmed in detail and closely directly in its habitat – the wild nature of the Altai Mountains, as well as a story about the daily work of national park inspectors studying snow leopards. The voices familiar to every viewer of the film were given by scientist and TV presenter Nikolai Drozdov and actor Konstantin Khabensky. Before the premiere screening of “The Master of the Altai Mountains,” Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Victoria Abramchenko read a greeting from President Vladimir Putin to the first viewers of the film.
