The inauguration ceremony of the head of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako, who won the elections that took place on September 8–10, took place. He was elected governor for a second five-year term.
On the Primorsky stage of the Mariinsky Theater, Mr. Kozhemyako took the oath of allegiance to the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the charter of the region. He also thanked voters for their trust and promised to “continue to develop Primorye.”
In the repeat elections for the head of the region in December 2018, he received 61.88% of the votes. This year, nominated for a second term from United Russia, Oleg Kozhemyako received, according to the election commission, 72.78% of the votes. In second place was the LDPR candidate, Vladivostok Duma deputy Inna Kosheleva with 9.83%. The turnout was 45.58% of the total number of voters.
