Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that by the end of 2023, oil production, taking into account the voluntary reduction, will be about 527 million tons, coal production - 440 million tons. The projected volume of liquefied natural gas (LNG) production is 33 million tons.
"If we talk about production oil, we expect 527 million tons approximately. Last year there were 535 million tons. By coal this is approximately 440 million tons, last year the same level was also approximately - 442 million tons,” said Alexander Novak during a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy and noted that production electricity in Russia this year will grow by 0.8%, to 1.15 trillion kWh. The words of the Deputy Prime Minister are quoted by TASS.
Talking about booty gas in Russia in 2023, Mr. Novak predicted a reduction in the figure by about 30 billion cubic meters. m. “Last year, in the first half of the year, we still had supplies to Europe, which were stopped via Nord Stream as a result of a terrorist attack. Accordingly, this year there will be less, but by increasing supplies to China via the Power of Siberia, we will partially compensate for these losses,” he emphasized.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, production LNG in Russia by the end of this year will reach 33 million tons. In 2024, production volumes are expected to increase due to the launch of the first train of the Arctic LNG 2 plant (shipping should begin in the first quarter of 2024).
Exports of liquefied gas from Russia in October reached this year's maximum of 2.98 million tons due to increased supplies to Japan from Sakhalin-2 and the completion of repairs at the main plants. However, over the ten months of this year, shipments from the Russian Federation decreased by 3.8% year-on-year, to 26.18 million tons of LNG.
