The Ukrainian army is still trying to cope with the consequences of the actions of General Sergei Surovikin. This is reported by the American edition The New York Times (NYT).
It is noted that the battle for Artemovsk (Bakhmut) gave the Russian troops a chance to create a defense from mines and trenches, which became one of the main problems of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The long battle for Bakhmut gave the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, under the leadership of Surovikin, a chance to attract mobilized personnel and create a defense – the Surovikin Line,” the publication says.
The author of the material assures that the efforts made by Surovikin were able to change the course of the conflict.
