Novak Usmonil in the perspective of gas supply through the surviving Nord Stream-2 line

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak said that it is too early to talk about gas supplies via the surviving Nord Stream 2 pipeline. He recalled that the gas pipeline is still undergoing an examination after the explosions. Mr. Novak did not name the deadlines for completing the work.

“It’s too early to talk about it now. There is also a survey of this infrastructure. There is no final conclusion on this matter in terms of the integrity of this infrastructure. We will look at the results,” Alexander Novak said during the Russian-Turkmen business forum in Ashgabat (quote from Interfax).

The explosions at Nord Stream 1 and the uncommissioned Nord Stream 2 occurred on September 26. Three out of four pipelines were damaged. At the time of the explosion, supplies via Nord Stream were not being carried out due to repairs to the turbines.

Russia and EU countries called the incident a diversion. Denmark and Sweden are investigating because the incident occurred in their economic zones. Germany joined them.

In Gazprom, which was admitted to the investigation later, reportedthat two craters three and five meters deep were found at the site of the explosions. In the European Commission assuredthat the investigation is ongoing.
