Novak instructed oil workers to increase production of winter diesel fuel

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak instructed the heads of oil companies to increase the production of winter diesel fuel for the needs of the domestic market. The Ministry of Agriculture was instructed to monitor the prices of intermediaries when selling fuel to farmers, and the FAS to conduct inspections in regions where high prices at gas stations were reported.
“Oil companies have been instructed to increase the production of winter diesel fuel for the needs of the domestic market and for northern deliveries,”— reported government press service. Northern delivery is the provision of vital products and fuel to the regions of the Far North and equivalent regions.
The instructions were made at a meeting of Mr. Novak with the management of oil companies, representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Ministry of Agriculture on the domestic market of petroleum products. At the meeting, as noted in the press service, “a stable situation with prices for petroleum products in the retail segment and a decrease in exchange and small wholesale prices were noted.”
By the close of trading on the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange on October 16, the price of AI-92 gasoline increased by 2.13%, to 52.8 thousand rubles. per ton. AI-95 gasoline rose in price by 1.1%, to 56.6 thousand rubles. per ton. Summer diesel fuel fell in price by 2.77%, to 56.3 thousand rubles. per ton, off-season – by 0.28%, to 58.1 thousand rubles. per ton. Winter diesel fuel rose in price by 0.17%, to 73.9 thousand rubles. per ton.
