Kommersant Style is about a new category of skin care and makeup products, which are interesting because they perform several functions at once.

“Skinminimalism” is gaining momentum: people get tired of the abundance of bottles of cosmetics and try to choose those products that work in several directions at once. The trend was formed in defiance of the multi-step and complex classic skin care adopted in Japan and Korea, when you only need up to five different products to cleanse your skin, and helps to reduce self-care to a basic level without losing quality. In addition to speed and convenience, there is also a powerful economic factor: in fact, you buy several funds for the price of one.

The pioneers of this approach were brands that produce cosmetics for men: it was they who offered ready-made solutions on how to use shampoo for the body, face, and hair or refresh the skin after shaving with one gel, without subsequent application of a nourishing cream. A little later, narrower specialists joined – make-up artists, who transferred their experience in creating decorative cosmetics to creams and serums and began to produce makeup that, in addition to pigments, contains active ingredients and at the same time moisturizes, gives radiance, and cares for the skin. As the famous celebrity makeup artist and creator of her Westman Atelier cosmetics brand Gucci Westman said, “We don’t need a lot of funds – just the right ones.”
