Norway to allocate $140 million to Ukraine

The Norwegian authorities have decided to provide assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 1.5 billion crowns ($140 million), RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy.
As noted, the money will be used for the repair and maintenance of critical electricity infrastructure, as well as for the purchase of gas. The funds will be transferred through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Earlier, Head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko, together with a Norwegian delegation led by Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stere, inspected one of the energy facilities of Ukraine. Previously, this object was attacked.
After the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, organized by the Ukrainian special services, the Russian Armed Forces began to deliver regular strikes on the territory of Ukraine from October 10. The objects of strikes with high-precision weapons are energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities throughout Ukraine. Air raid alerts in the regions of Ukraine are announced daily, periodically throughout the country.
