North Korean authorities call the visit of the President of South Korea to the United States a provocation
The DPRK considers the visit of the President of South Korea to the United States a provocation and a direct allusion to the upcoming nuclear war against Pyongyang. This is reported by the North Korean Central News Agency. The message came after the adoption of a joint statement by the leaders of South Korea and the United States on strengthening extended nuclear deterrence.
Seoul enlisted the support of Washington in the event of a possible nuclear attack from Pyongyang. The Americans promised to promptly use all possible forces, including nuclear weapons, in the event of an attack.
The KCNA called the talks “a meeting between a master and a puppet.” And pointed out that the visit of South Korean leader Yun Sok-yol is a dangerous event “from the point of view of nuclear war.” The note notes that the DPRK for the first time was called a possible target of a nuclear attack.
Earlier, Kim Yo-jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, criticized Joe Biden’s speech in which he announced “regime change in the DPRK.” She called this performance “the words of an old man with no future.”
