North Korea fires missiles at South Korea to mark 100 days of its president’s rule

North Korea fired cruise missiles into the West Korea Bay informs South Korean agency Yonhap, citing sources. The missiles were launched on the 100th day after the inauguration of South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol.

“This morning, two cruise missiles were launched from the Oncheon-gun area of ​​South Pyongan Province into the West Sea. The missile launch was the second since Yun Seok-yeol took office as President of the Republic of Korea in May 2022 – a ballistic missile launch by the DPRK took place on June 5.

North Korea is launching cruise missiles for the first time since January 2022. Unlike ballistic missiles, the launch of cruise missiles does not violate UN Security Council resolutions, but they are capable of delivering long-range precision strikes.

He noted that the United States often accuses the DPRK of provocations and threats.
