“President Bola Tinubu has ordered the recall of all professional and non-professional ambassadors from their posts around the world. The President’s directive is a continuation of his careful study of the current state of affairs in Nigerian consulates and embassies around the world.

The President of Nigeria is said to be “determined” to ensure efficient and quality service delivery to the citizens, residents and potential visitors of Nigeria in the future. In this regard, Tinubu also ordered not to recall the permanent representatives of Nigeria to the UN in New York and Geneva in connection with the upcoming meeting of the General Assembly of the organization. The high-level week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly will begin in New York on September 19.
