Niger army prepares to repel possible military intervention

CNN reports that the Niger army has begun moving reinforcements to the capital Niamey, preparing to repel a possible intervention from member countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Earlier, ECOWAS issued an ultimatum to the rebels in Niger, demanding the return to power of ousted President Mohamed Bazum.
