New York Times: The US failed to isolate Russia

NYT admitted the failure of the “isolation” of the Russian Federation
US attempts to isolate Russia ended in failure, according to a New York Times article.
The publication writes that thanks to oil and gas reserves, Moscow has ensured financial and political stability in the country.
It is also noted that after the start of a special military operation, the US authorities launched a “diplomatic offensive” against Russia, while simultaneously trying to “punish” it by introducing economic restrictions and political isolation. The article says Washington was putting pressure on other countries to cut ties with Moscow. However, their plans did not come true.
“Russia’s inherent strength, based on vast reserves of oil and natural gas, has provided financial and political stability that threatens to outlast Western opposition,” writes the NYT, noting that Moscow has even managed to increase its influence in parts of Asia, Africa and South America.
