“New People” and the Growth Party will nominate common candidates in the elections

The New People Party and the Growth Party agreed to nominate single candidates in elections at all levels. This was announced by the Vice-Speaker of the State Duma, a deputy from the “New People” Vladislav Davankov. Earlier, sources of Kommersant reported about a possible union of parties.
“Today we agreed to join forces with the Growth Party. Together we will achieve greater freedom not only for entrepreneurs, but for all Russians,” Mr. Davankov wrote in Telegram.
According to Mr. Davankov, this year the New People go to the polls in 18 legislative assemblies. “Voters everywhere are waiting for a real plan for the development of Russia, and not left-wing populist chatter. We agreed to nominate common candidates at all levels,” he said.
Sources of “Kommersant” in the Party of Growth and interlocutors close to the presidential administration said that at this stage we are talking only about an election alliance. At the same time, they noted that a full-fledged merger of the parties is also possible in the future.
The New People and the Growth Party position themselves as right-wing liberal parties, both of which advocate for the rights of entrepreneurs. According to Kommersant’s sources, the possible merger of the parties can be called the takeover of the Party of Growth by the more effective New People.
