New foreign agent Nikandrov announced himself “for fun”: check the Ministry of Justice

Still unknown to the general public, 19-year-old blogger Marat Nikandrov, who was recently added to the list of foreign agents by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, said that he wrote a statement against himself. According to a native of Pskov, “a young fool decided to do this for fun” when he was sitting in a cafe with friends – he jokingly filled out a special form. The blogger assures that in fact he does not have foreign funding or other discreditable connections with foreign countries, but for some reason the department still included him in the register.
“This is really a very amazing story,” stated Nikandrov “I’ll rise.” – Not on any financing, on any issues related to foreign influence…”
The blogger called the incident a “test drive” for the Ministry of Justice and suggested that now the department may exclude the possibility of independently registering as foreign agents. Nikandrov also said that he does not yet plan to file an appeal to add himself to the register, because he wants officials to be attentive and figure it out on their own.
“The Ministry of Justice has not yet sent me a letter (about inclusion in the register. – MK) <...> “I learned about this from journalists,” the foreign agent added. “It looks very strange.”
