Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held telephone conversations with French President Emmanuel Macron, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, the Jewish Prime Minister’s Office said.
“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a series of talks with Western leaders today. The Prime Minister spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte,” indicated in a message from Netanyahu’s office (quoted from RIA Novosti).
During the negotiations, the Israeli Prime Minister emphasized the determination of the Jewish state to destroy the Palestinian Hamas movement – its militants and political leadership. Previously, it was reported that Macron and Rutte would visit Israel early next week.
On October 7, the Palestinian group Hamas attacked Israel. Against the backdrop of an attack by militants, the army of the Jewish state launched Operation Iron Swords, the country went into a state of war and began launching massive airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. According to the latest data, more than 6,000 people have died as a result of the conflict, of which more than 4,600 were killed on the Palestinian side. Since the start of the escalation, about 1.5 million people have fled their homes in the Gaza Strip.
